Product Review: Securikey Top Opening Eurovault

Product Review copy

IMG_0180The Top Opening Eurovault is a new addition to eSafes from leading manufacturer Securikey. It has been designed specifically to be installed in a cupboard floor.

Ideal for storing valuables and A4 sized paperwork (insurance certificates, deeds etc).

It is already selling really well online so let’s take a look at the good and bad point of this safe:

Good Points:

  • The first thing you notice about this safe is how well it has been built. It has a nice design and the 2mm body, 4mm door and gas powered struts give it a nice robust feel.
  • Easy to use electronic lock. The lock is very straight forward allowing easy regular access. It can be changed every time if you wish making it ideal for use in hotel rooms.
  • Ample storage. The internal space of the safe is great and will allow you to store iPads, smartphones, cameras and paperwork all together.
  • Simple installation. The safe has four pre-drilled holes in the floor and comes with bolts making installation really easy. Also the safe has a protective mat which stops your jewellery from getting scratched.

Bad Points:

  • The safe doesn’t currently come with a recognised cash rating. If you are looking to store items with a real high value then we’d recommend checking out our Eurograde range.
  • The brightness of the internal lights could be a bit stronger.

Overview:

This is another solid and reliable safe from Securikey. It doesn’t offer anything cutting edge but as there aren’t many good cupboard safes on the market it fills a gap in the market really well. It is available for only £97 (+vat) and despite the lack of a recognised cash rating the plus points outweigh the bad ones. If you are looking to store a few items like certificates safely in your cupboard then we’d recommend this to you.
