How much do shotgun cabinets cost?
Shotgun cabinets are available at various price points – ranging from hundreds to thousands of pounds.
As with most things, the price you’ll pay for a gun cabinet will depend on its size and capacity – with larger units costing the most but offering ample space for more guns (and, in some cases, ammunition).
Another factor that can influence the cost of shotgun cabinets is the brand. At eSafes, we provide only the best from Buffalo River, Burg Wachter and Phoenix Safes, to name just a few.

Where should a shotgun cabinet be installed?
Shotgun cabinets and safes need to be installed according to the manufacturer’s recommendations, which is usually bolted to a solid concrete floor or brick wall.
As a rule of thumb, we typically advise against installing a cabinet in your bedroom, living room, kitchen or garage, as these rooms are often the first place burglars will look if they break in to your home.
Although shotgun cabinets don’t need to be temperature controlled to prevent damage from rust, corrosion and mould, choosing an area that has low levels of humidity is preferable. If this isn’t possible, consider using a dehumidifier.

Are all shotgun cabinets police approved?
Here at eSafes, we can assure you that all our shotgun cabinets are police approved and manufactured to the British Standard BS 7558/92.
According to police guidelines, guns and ammo must not be kept in the same safe, unless there is a separate compartment for it to be locked away securely. Luckily, many of the shotgun cabinets we have in stock include this feature, allowing you to keep your guns and ammo in the same unit whilst complying with stringent rules and regulations.
